Sleep

Updated June 12, 2025

Sleep is a process that is required for our hardware. For every 2 hours awake, we need one hour of sleep, or approximately 8 hours per night. Sleep is a non-negotiable nutrient that when deficient (a pandemic) affects brain, immune, hormone, pain and virtually every function. Sleep disorders, whether known or not, decrease quality of life and lifespan.  We either sleep now and enjoy it’s benefits, or we have “dis-ease” and then go to “big sleep” sooner.

Insomnia is the inability to fall or stay asleep, or lack of refreshing sleep. Hypersomnia is the need for excessive sleep, often without feeling refreshed.
