Hello Mariluz: We are getting close to our trip to Peru and getting excited. 

I anticipate there may be more questions but for today here are a few: 

* Do you supply Hiking poles for the day hike?

No, you can bring them, or you can rent them from us. The cost for a pair is US$10.00.

 * Will you have suggestions for restaurants or that is up to us? 

Yes, we can definitely give you resturant recommendations if you would  like.

 * I know tips are not included and need to know if they can be put on a cc card or need to have cash? 

 while a few high-end restaurants might allow you to add a tip to your credit card, cash is definitely preferred and usually required everywhere else including for guides, drivers, and hotel staff, etc . I recommend carrying some cash (either Peruvian Soles or US Dollars) for tipping

 Extra information:

 For your trip to Peru, I recommend bringing a moderate amount of cash, mainly for tips, local taxis, or small purchases at craft markets. For everything else, like restaurants and larger stores, you will be able to pay comfortably with your card (Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted). A good option is to withdraw soles directly from ATMs upon arrival, or exchange some US dollars at authorized currency exchange offices (casas de cambio).

Additionally, make sure to notify your bank that you will be traveling to Peru so they don’t block your cards for suspicious activity. You should also check with your bank regarding foreign ATM usage fees.

 * At what point will we know that Apumayu will be there to meet us (first day in Cuscco) and then what to anticipate on a daily basis. 

Your guide meet you at the airport when you arrive in Cusco. From that point forward, you will be in direct contact with him to coordinate your daily itinerary.

When you arrive in Lima, a representative from Apumayo will also be  waiting for you to escort  you to  your hotel, located inside the airport.

Hoping for everyone’s sake that the floods have not impacted your tours. Anything we should know? 

None of your excusions were  affected by the foods, as previously mentioned, the classic inca Trail was the only route impacted. The short inca Trail you are scheduled to take is operating as normal, and none of your other excusrions experienced any flooding .
