This information is for educational purposes only, to facilitate quality conversations between patients and their personal physician(s). Several essential considerations are required to safely administer any protocol for an individual. This information is NOT intended to diagnose, treat or encourage self-treatment of any medical condition.
“Long Covid” is a condition where there is persistenceof symptoms after natural covid infection(s), as well ascovid vaccine or booster (sometimes consideredseparately as “vaccine injury). The most commonsymptoms are
- fatigue
- fog and
- shortness of breath.
… as well as exacerbation of other pre-existing symptoms such as migraine, sleep disorder, anxiety, depression, allergy, rash, gut symptoms, neurological symptoms and others.
At a “root cause” level long covid involves a certain level of pre-existing conditions that were known or unknown, enabling persistence and/or shedding of the covid virus and/or mRNA vaccine components. These factors include:
- chronic nutrient insufficiency
- food intolerance(s) and/or allergy
- hormonal imbalance often involving the adrenal, thyroid, and sex hormone networks, but also blood sugar
- autonomic system dysregulation, including the vagus nerve
- inflammatory condition(s)
- gut and immune dysfunction
- toxicity with a variety of water- and fat-based toxins
Since not everyone develops long covid, there are individual “root cause” factors that contribute to the development of long covid or interfere with its healing naturally.
Dr. Cheikin has been successfully treating chronic fatigue and related obscure conditions for over 30 years. The process begins with a thorough evaluation to identify hidden factors. Most chronic conditions involve “core” lifestyle factors (breath, sleep, water, food, personal care and mind-body care), and therefore often respond favorably to changes in lifestyle using a systematic approach.
Since 2020, Dr. Cheikin’s tools have been successfully utilized by patients with symptom constellations which we call long-covid. Patient testimonials or even communication with past patients are available for those seeking to heal. For general information see fatigue. For protocols and more information see covid protocols and the menus at the top of the page.
