For emergencies: Call 911.
For urgencies that cannot wait until the next business day:
call the hotline: 610-239-9901, option 1. Leave a message and Dr. Cheikin will be notified of your call.
If a pharmacist has an issue or question:
have them call the hotline directly (if you call the hotline, this will only require extra calls).

In general, many of the products and services at the Center for Optimal Health are eligible for use of HSA funds. However, your needs and individual circumstances might be different. Always consult with your accountant before making such decisions. The IRS maintains a brochure regarding the allowable uses of an HSA.

Contact the HSA administrator or the bank holding the HSA funds to learn their required procedure. Keep records of all expenses and disbursements!

Options: 1) Stop any new agent; 2) Play with the dosing (as low as 1/4 of the dose initially tried) and timing (move to earlier or later in the day, or with a different meal if applicable;Â 3) Call Dr. Cheikin using the hotline if your concern cannot wait.

Pharmaceuticals: Call 911 for any emergency situation. For refill matters, have the pharmacy call the hotline. For other pharmaceutical matters, call Dr. Cheikin\’s hotline. Any changes to medications should be under supervision of a licensed prescriber.
Supplements (Nutriceuticals): Options: 1) Stop any new supplement first; 2) Play with the dosing (as low as 1/4 of the dose initially tried) and timing (move to earlier or later in the day, or with a different meal if applicable;Â 3) Call Dr. Cheikin using the hotline if your concern cannot wait.
If you already tried a TD of the supplement without difficulty you might want to play a bit; otherwise stop until next visit. For more information about supplements click here.

Dr. Cheikin attempts to only order Quest and LabCorp labs that will be covered by your insurance (unless he has told you otherwise). Occasionally there are mistakes in coding. If you have any questions about your lab bill, download this instruction sheet and follow the steps here.
