Tinnitus and hearing loss helped by adrenal hormones

There are a number of articles showing up in the medical literature about using an adrenal hormone, aldosterone, to help with tinnitus and hearing loss. This is a counter-intuitive finding, since this hormone primarily works on the kidneys to control salt balance in the body. However, several other adrenal hormones have an effect on the nervous system, so it is not unreasonable that this one might as well. Links to these articles will be placed here.
