Dogs: Both

  • When You Are Not Home: Leave in dog area with door locked x2, with full bowl of fresh water (If away for more than 12 hours, leave food bowl)
  • More food in laundry room in bin to the left of the sink.
  • Both need reminders to go pee, especially before bed; point to doggie door for Wiley
  • Sunny is NOT allowed to hump Wiley!
  • Otherwise very independent regarding food, water, play.
  • Poop:  bags go in pot by garbage cans
Sunny goes by dog door, please remove (so not tracked into house)
They go by back fence when running around
  • Daytime: Close gates  when the dogs are out;
  • Nighttime: sleep with you or in upstairs bedroom (again Wiley can snap if touched during deep sleep)
  • Dog food: laundry room, Left of sink in plastic bin
  • In the morning after they pee, one half of large biscuit each.
  • Dog cookies by TV, they expect a few at night (Sunny will talk to you)
  • Left a squeaker, if you can’t find them
  • Ears: if they shake their head a lot they may have an ear infection, call us for medicine info
  • After a walk, they expect 1/2 a cookie each

Wiley

  • Wiley is mostly deaf; you can bang his bed, point or touch his rump gently to get his attention
  • Wiley will “chomp” your hand when hand feeding, open palm
  • Wiley can snap when startled, esp when sleeping and lifting, wake by gently patting rump gently
  • Wiley sleeps alot (14 years old); has problems jumping up and down

Sunny

  • Sunny is very dependent on Wiley. Always keep together including at night.
  • Eats scrunchies, tissues (boxes upside down), goes in garbage, steals from kitchen counter (move things back)
  • Sunny responds very well to “come”; can practice sit, stay, paw, speak (very cute)
  • Paw licking: if red, use q-tip with Lugols

Snow

If lots predicted, consider staying over.
